JESUS CHRIST AND THE AMERICAN GI
I saw this today and it bothers me. What do you think?
ONLY TWO DEFINING FORCES HAVE EVER OFFERED TO DIE FOR YOU:
1. JESUS CHRIST
2. THE AMERICAN GI
ONE DIED FOR YOUR SOUL, THE OTHER FOR YOUR FREEDOM.

I have seen this but did not give it much thought until your post.
Truly, the two pictures seem an attempt to equate the Son of God's sacrifice with that of mere man. (not wishing to take away from a soldier's willingness to fight and die for our freedoms)
It also seems to assume that devotion to Christ and country go hand in hand.
Having relatives who are citizens of other countries, I belive other nations could not help but view this as just another example of American hubris.
Then too, the cutesy effect of the dog and boy are a bit much....
