THE EVIL BUSH

Interesting to remember how Bush was perceived. The Tea Party members look remarkably sane after viewing this video

You say "remarkably sane," I say remarkably similar. These could be the *same people* that are protesting Obama. It's the same outrageous rhetoric, the same offensive (and lousy) historical analogies, etc. The comparison makes both sides look ridiculous, but it doesn't make either side look anything like "sane."

The opening narration of that video is laughably disingenuous: "It was once considered *patriotic* to speak out against your government!" In highlighting liberal hypocrisy that considered anti-Bush protests patriotic, but reviles anti-Obama protests, the narrator is pointedly *ignoring* conservative hypocrisy (particularly through organizations like Fox News) in their outspoken condemnation of protests then vs. the total embracing (and even leadership) of such movements now.

Just another sad chapter in a growing history of myopic American political extremists talking past each other.

I believe a double-standard exists in how the media describes and covers the mediocrity of both presidencies.
