RELIGIOUS BELIEFS OF UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS
Neil Gross and Solon Simmons have an interesting working paper on "How Religious Are America's College and University Professors?"
Very interesting article...I was amazed at how low the number of christian-school affiliated respondents did not call themselves "born again" Christians. I'd be curious to see which schools these were taken from and do we, as a population, think of them as being "Christian" in the same way we would think of, say, LeTourneau. Conversely, I'd be curious to see how the numbers would stack up if we did the poll at LU...would we find fewer Christians than we think? I don't think so, but who knows, if this article is indicative of the current situation, it's hard to tell.
