CLIMATE WARMER IN ROMAN TIMES

Tree rings show this.   I have always wondered how Romans could have lived through some of those winters in Gaul and Britain.  It also shows the earth is moving back to temperatures that once existed after millenia of cooling.

German researchers used data from tree rings – a key indicator of past climate – to claim the world has been on a ‘long-term cooling trend’ for two millennia until the global warming of the twentieth century.
