THINKING ABOUT GRADUATE SCHOOL
Some very good insight into applying to graduate school. However, I would argue that a Master's degree is a good middle ground that can help one ask the right questions before pursuing a Ph.D. and all of its pressures and commitments.

Saw a great movie last night called "Archangel". The premise was that Stalin had a son before he died. Very unnerving. Deals especially well with the idea of communism and Stalinism living on, particularly in the rural areas of Russia. Interesting pull between modern, Moscow girl and the older generation - grandmothers and grandfathers who thought Stalin was a great man even as he killed them. Thought of you...maybe well worth a movie night. Stars Daniel Craig.
