EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF US STUDENTS

This is interesting.  US students compare well with students in other countries until they get to high school when the scores begin to drop.  There is something wrong in American secondary education.

The U.S. performed above average on international standardized tests in elementary and middle school math, science and reading, according to reports released Tuesday. But experts said the rankings, along with similar exams that test students at later ages, show a fundamental problem in America's education system: students tend to perform worse as they age.

The reports also looked at the context of these scores, and found high correlations between students in homes that play math and reading games with advanced fourth grade achievement.
